From time to time different destinations to visit reveal themselves in any way possible. Be it through word of mouth, a picture or even some advert. Who knows, it is not important anyway. What is important is the places that do get stuck in our minds. The places we keep dreaming of and never forget. Of course my home in Sweden is on my mind as well but that should go without saying so it is not on the list. ^^
Here is three places that I keep daydreaming of from time to time:
The closest to the Seychelles I have ever been must have been when I was in Dubai. That was a family trip to visit my uncle and his family, he worked there for a while so we came to visit. This was back in.. Ugh, maybe ´99? Jeez. Time flies.
So I really have no connection to the Seychelles at all. Yet the photos I have seen of this place have me completely sold. In my eyes it is one of the absolutely most beautiful places on this whole earth of ours. Truly marvelous.
Just thinking of this beautiful place makes me feel blissful. I can´t wait ´til the day I get to visit! I will make sure to let you know once that has happened.
Oh Thailand. I spent 6 months there last winter and I knew already as I was leaving that I will return one day. I can really see myself living somewhere in this beautiful country in the future. But due to their lets say inefficient administrative situation it is not really an option until I either get old and/or rich. But then again I change my mind about the future on a daily basis so lets just wait and see.
What I do know for sure however is that I will come back to visit many times. Kap Khun Kap for last time and see you again sooner or later, Thailand.
Here´s some photos I took in Thailand:
Have you ever heard of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area? If not; here is some info from Wikipedia:
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 km (110 mi) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area. The conservation area is administered by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, an arm of the Tanzanian government, and its boundaries follow the boundary of the Ngorongoro Division of the Arusha Region.
The crater has one of the densest known population of Masai lions
Okay so they have lions and all other sorts of animals, an amazing landscape created when a volcano exploded, it is in Africa which I have never visited, it is a protected area with sustainable use of natural resources and so much more. Say no more: lets go!
And really they had me already at lions. I have always been fascinated by these beautiful and dangerous animals. For sure it has a lot to do with Aslan in the books of Narnia written by the amazing writer C.S Lewis. Mix that with the Lion King movie from Disney and I guess I understand where my fascination stems from.
But even without all that, just to see lions in the wild would be freaking amazing. Right!?
